One of the first things we do to plan for a new baby is get clothes. This is something that will follow them for the rest of their lives and the first few months they will go through more clothes then they will probably ever have on hand at any given point later in life. This gets very expensive.
Don’t be afraid of consignment shops. Not everything there is used and worn out. I have gotten several brand new outfits with the tags on them for less than $5. Kids grow way too fast to spend a lot of money on their clothes, especially in the infant stage. And even better, buy out of season. Even consignment shops clearance items so they don’t have to store them.
